Your standard run of the mill Starbucks. The staff are friendly and the baristas are good at what they're doing. I came during a pretty slow hour so I got my cold brew instantly. Everything else you needed at the side counter for sugar and cream were in stock and organized which is usually a rare case. Definitely a convenient location for people staying at the Marriott hotel.

Cute and small coffee shop. Quick and friendly service. Only reason I'm giving them 4 stars and not 5 is because of the condition of the restroom. Restrooms are shared with the entire Phoenix building (I think) so they were very dirty. I was afraid to touch the doorknob

This is true big-city Starbucks.
It's about the only location in Philadelphia that stays open till 11pm, probably because of being within the bustling Marriott hotel). It's lines can be rather long, so you'll want to acquaint yourself with the Starbucks app to order-ahead. And it's just not as cozy to relax and study in like other Starbucks locations, as the chairs are all metal and the environment is rather slender in width, as you wind your way through it.
The drink quality can be a little hit-or-miss, due to the apparent staff turnover this location has. But I can tell you one thing - the wonderful daytime barista Theresa will get your drink right, and serve it with such a charming smile!
One other thing - some reviews falsely report that the Starbucks app/cards/stars do not work here. That might have been the case a few years ago, but I can guarantee that this location certainly does honor everything Starbucks has (apps/cards/stars).
So everything appears as fresh as can be in this location; just be sure you skip the crazy lines and order ahead, and you'll be fine here. -

Look for what it is, this Starbucks is great. Located on the first floor of the Marriott, this coffee house serves hotel guests, office workers, City Hall employees, SEPTA employees, and tourists down to see Reading Terminal market or City Hall. This all translates into foot traffic and high volume.
Short of adding a Wawa style self order kiosk, this place does all it can to maintain a high level of customer service. I've seen in 4 occasions free samples offered to entertain guests waiting for their orders to come up. That said, as mentioned by other yelpers, save yourself the time if you're in a rush and order on the app.
The drinks are usually served properly here. There is seating available however I wouldn't recommend planning on getting work done here. It's kind of cramped, and you're better served by visiting the Starbucks on Chestnut if you're planning on studying or working remotely. But if you just need a place to warm up or scratch your eyes open while catching up on emails on your phone, this venue can accommodate you.
For the volume of people, these guys do a great job of staying cheery and making customers feel at home. If you want in and out service use the app. -

This is the FiveBucks in the lobby of the big Marriott in Center City and it. gets. busy.
And crowded. And messy at the sugar/creamer station. And attracts a few vagrants who are quickly ushered away from tourist eyes,
Meanwhile, I NEEDED a latte and I latte I obtained.
What a rush.
Try not to come here from 7:30 - 9 AM on a weekday. Mob Scene.
